Wide selection of filter media

A wide range of monofilament and multifilament filter fabrics as well as mesh or screen filters and sifters guarantee the most appropriate filter fabric to achieve optimum yield. No matter if micro, vacuum, pressure or centrifugal filtration – whether it be the mechanical dehumidification of the filter cake, the increase in throughput or the improvement of particle retention, Sefar experts assist in the selection of the correct mesh size or pore opening of the filter depending on the particle size and requirements of the process. Sefar’s advice about the optimization of flow rates and pressure differences is complemented by the equally important advice about the compatibility of the filter with the corresponding filter apparatus. The choice of which of the various filter materials such as polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET), Teflon (PTFE), nylon (PA6.6), polyamide (PA such as Rilsan), PBT, PEEK, PPS, E-CTFE, ETFE and PVDF are used help to achieve the many chemical requirements of the filter elements in the acidic or alkaline range as well as to have the required solvent resistance. Sefar takes into account requirements for hydrolysis-critical, temperature-intensive processes and application areas for screening, separation, drying or filtration as well as special requirements for Food Conformity (FDA) and EU guidelines for food contact.
